1. Who wouldn’t love a Vespa tour?  It’s a great way to see the quaint shops, towns and streets of Italy.

2. Taste the most renowned and famous wines of Tuscany such as the Brunello di Montalcino, the Nobile di Montepulciano and the Chianti on a Wine Tour.

3. Italy is all about the Food, so why not take a cooking class.  There are tons of customized cooking lessons in which your chef will guide you in creating amazing food including follow the first and second course and desserts.

4. Truffle hunting: Looking for a truffle in Tuscany with an expert hunter (tartufaio) is an Italian custom which allows you to understand how nature is able to offer hidden excellences. The truffle hunter, with his own dog, will show you the techniques to hunt a truffle and after the hunting experience, you will have a good meal where you can taste dishes based on truffle.

5. Food tasting: Now, we’ve talked about how fabulous the food is in Italy and taking cooking classes but if you don’t want to actually cook it the next best thing is food tasting.  You can try Extra virgin olive oil tasting of the tuscan producers. You have the chance to taste the extra virgin olive oil directly where the oil is being produced and, at the same time, learn the methods of productions of the extra virgin olive oil. A tuscan Pecorino di Pienza cheese tasting or a Chianina meat sampling.

6. Art and medieval towns: You can visit the cities of art and medieval towns: Such as Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Cortona, San Gimignano, Montepulciano and Pienza just to name a few.

7. Tuscany from the sky: Why not consider a panoramic tour by hot air balloon, by helicopter or with private aircraft to admire beautiful Italy from the “high” the most suggestive Tuscan views; its villages in Valdichiana, in Val d’Orcia, in Chianti, in Val di Pesa or in Maremma?

9. Sports: For those that like sports, consider a bike tour, hiking and trekking or a horse ride on the Tuscan hills. The landscapes and views are amazing!

10. Relax and Wellness: A spa day in a natural spa resort or in a natural Thermal grotta can be so relaxing. In Tuscany there are many wellness center, like montecatini terme, terme di saturnia, grotto giusi and so on.

{Wedding Trends} Ombre

Ombre is the hottest trend right now.  It’s like wildfire and it’s spreading to all facets of wedding planning from invitations to flowers, tableclothes.

What is Ombre, you ask?  Well, according to Webster’s Dictionary, its “having colors or tones that shade into each other —used especially of fabrics in which the color is graduated from light to dark”  And it’s all the rage because it gives brides the ability to share her favorite wedding color in different shades.  So she doesn’t just have to pick pink or orange she can now incorporate ombre and have different shades of pink or orange.  This creates a gradual warming effect with the colors making them a little warmer than just a singular color by it’s self.

So you go to the drawing board for alternatives but what else doesn’t fall into these crazy categories, you ask.  Have you ever considered, Ribbon?  Ribbon is a fabulous send off because there is literally no cleanup or the potential of hazardous material and it’s looks stunning. Check out our tutorial for creating “Ribbon Send Offs”

You will need:

Dowels or long wooden skewers

3/4 yard of ribbon in your wedding colors (we used narrow satin ribbon but seam binding ribbon is inexpensive and works great!)

Step #1: Cut the ribbon to about 3/4 yard.

Step #2 Tie the strands on the dowel. Use as many as you like. More ribbon offers more impact.

1. Do a trail run ~ This is key because there is nothing worst then being upset and unhappy because you aren’t satisfied with the outcome of your hair, on your WEDDING DAY.  At least if you do a trail run you will find out you don’t like a certain style and have the freedom and opportunity to switch it up.

2. Match your hair with your dress style ~ If you are wearing a classic or traditional dress it’s best to go with an up-do  bun or a half up, half down hairstyle. This brings more attention to your shoulders and collarbone.  For the more romantic type gown, with a sweetheart or scoop neckline and very flowy, tulle type fabric, loose curls and your hair down is better.

3. Don’t go CRAZY ~ This is key.  If you are not the type of person to wear a very ornate, edgy wild and crazy hairdo normally then it’s not best to go with that type of hairstyle.  You want to have subtle enhancements.  There’s no reason for people to be more stocked and stunned at your hair than your beautiful dress and make-up.

Wedding Gowns are meant to be the wow factor of all wow factors.  Your wedding gown is the end all be all expression of your personality and style.  If you are a traditional conservative person then go with a traditional conservative gown.  But if you are a sassy, sexy type of bride then go all out and make sure that your wedding gown portrays that sassy sexy side of you.  Wedding gowns come in all shapes and colors, just as brides do so make sure that you capture yourself in your wedding gown.  So people can walk away saying that your wedding gown was an exact match of you.

{Wow Factor} Wedding Bouquet

Your wedding bouquet should be a combination of your style, personality, theme and your wedding colors.  Your style and personality will translate into a harmonious blend of the flowers that you love and what you have always wanted in your bouquet.  Brides dream of their perfect bouquet when they are little girls playing dress up so most know exactly what flowers they want to use and how they want them arranged.

Your theme will come through depending on what type of wedding you are having.  If you are having a winter wedding you might want to include flowers that are popular during that time of year.   And the last element to creating a wow factor wedding bouquet is the color, depending on what colors you are using will determine what flowers you will use.  Often times there are different color flowers available that can be dyed to create the desired color but that is not always available and can get quite costly.   The most likely option is to use flowers that naturally occur in your preferred colors.
